  1. Specify the Results that you want
  2. Specify what Evidence will prove that the desired results have been achieved
  3. Make it clear Why the result is important
  4. Make it clear that you are proposing an Agreement – a contract which comes along with responsibility.
  5. Allow the Responsible party to negotiate changes
  6. Document the agreement
  7. Monitor and Support but do not solve problems for them
  8. Acknowledge accomplishments and give REWARDS if appropriate
